Two ways to discover
Your private network, or your AWS account.
Discovery runs from a CuliPulse agent — the same lightweight helper that monitors your private services. You turn it on with a few settings on the agent, and the console builds the exact command for Docker, a native Linux install or Kubernetes.
Point an agent at a network range — a CIDR, up to a /22 — and it looks for open services: SSH, web servers, databases, Redis and more. Use the common ports or your own list. It re-scans every 5 minutes by default.
Give the agent read-only access and it lists your EC2 instances, RDS databases and load balancers in the regions you pick — with their addresses, ports and tags. If a permission is missing, the error shows on the agent's page.
Adopt in a click
From “what's running” to “we're watching it”.
One click per resource. Everything the agent finds shows up in a table on its page. Hit adopt and CuliPulse creates a sensible monitor: an open port on your network becomes a TCP check on that port; from AWS, a database becomes a TCP check on its port, a server a ping, a load balancer a check on its listener.
Or let rules decide. Match AWS resources by tag or attribute and choose the monitor type, port and name. A live preview shows what each rule would create, so you can adopt one or all of them — or switch on auto-adopt and matching resources become monitors on their own, up to your plan's monitor limit.
Safe by design
Read-only, outbound-only, and nothing runs without your say-so.
The agent only ever connects outward — no inbound ports, no firewall holes. Everything it reports goes to CuliPulse over HTTPS.
Discovery needs six read-only permissions — it can list resources, never change them. The exact policy is in the console, ready to copy. Your AWS keys, or the instance role, stay on the agent's host and never reach CuliPulse.
Discovery is an inventory. Nothing becomes a monitor until you adopt it — or until you switch on auto-adopt for the resources your rules match.

Open Discovery on the agent's page. The console builds the command for your platform — a network range to scan, or AWS with your regions — plus the read-only IAM policy.
- See what's there
The first scan runs as soon as the agent starts. Services and cloud resources appear on the agent's page with their addresses, ports and tags.
- Adopt
Adopt what you want to watch — one at a time, all at once, or automatically with rules — and CuliPulse starts checking it.
