Discovery runs from a CuliPulse agent — the same lightweight helper that monitors your private services. Switch it on with one environment variable; the console shows the exact command for Docker, a native install, or Kubernetes.
Point an agent at a network range (a CIDR, up to a /22) and it scans for open services — SSH, web servers, databases, Redis and more. Use the common defaults or your own list of ports. It re-checks every few minutes.
Give the agent read-only access and it lists your EC2 instances, RDS databases, and load balancers across the regions you pick — with their addresses, ports and tags. Permission problems are reported right in the console.
Everything CuliPulse finds shows up in a table. Hit adopt → and it creates the right kind of monitor for you — a database becomes a TCP check on its port, a host becomes a ping, a load balancer a check on its listener. The agent only ever connects outward — no inbound ports, no firewall holes, nothing exposed to the public internet. All of its reporting back to CuliPulse runs over HTTPS.
AWS discovery needs only a handful of read-only describe permissions — it can list resources, never change them. The exact policy is shown in the console, ready to copy.
